<p>Guided by this philosophy, New Amsterdam Spirits is on a mission to bring communities together. We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the <strong>New Amsterdam Fund</strong>, an initiative dedicated to uniting communities by reimagining shared spaces as community places, giving locals in towns across the country a place where they can come together and enjoy their city.</p>

<p>To help make this mission a reality, New Amsterdam Spirits has teamed up with Project for Public Spaces (PPS), a pioneer in the global “placemaking” movement. Together with PPS, we announced the first-ever New Amsterdam Fund grant recipient: the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood Association, in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the course of three months, the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood Association will utilize this grant to transform a currently-vacant lot into a vibrant public space – dubbed the Castleberry Spur – for community enjoyment. Once completed, this communal space will not only serve as a locale for everyday social gatherings, but will host events including pop-up markets, live performances and art installations.</p>

<p>Looking ahead, the New Amsterdam Fund will continue to make a difference in local communities in the years to come, as we pledge to reimagine even more public spaces in cities across the country. Stay tuned for what’s next.</p>
